Who should join the CLF family?

We believe God assigns people to church families and that the joining happens through relationships. At CLF, you join a family and not an organization.  While the joining process may be slightly different for each person, the process is usually follows the steps outlined below.

How do I join the CLF family?

  1. Visit: If you have been attending our Sunday services, ask Jesus if he has placed you here to be a part of the CLF Church body.  Our obedience to Jesus in this area is most important.
  2. Connect: We can’t live out our faith alone and need to walk in relationship with others. There are plenty of opportunities to get to connect with others from the church and to grow in relationship with them.
  3. Join: Ready to join the family?  At CLF, we first join hearts and lives before we join function. You can become a part of the family at any time. However, twice a year, CLF hosts a weekend retreat called Building Together to facilitate the membership process.  This retreat provides an opportunity to learn about our values, meet the leaders, and ask any questions you may have.
  4. Support: Through our tithe (10% of our income) and special offerings, we obey the Bible’s example to give back to God the first portions of what He has given us as an act of heartfelt worship to him. Each Sunday, there is an opportunity during the service to give tithes and offerings to the Lord.

  5. Serve: Each of us has a unique skill set, and we are supposed to use our gifting to serve others. Check out the serve section to learn about opportunities to serve the body and the surrounding community.
