Life Groups

What is the Purpose of Life Groups?

The best and safest place to grow-up in Christ is among friends, leaders, and family.

Life Groups are designed to be a small interactive group of friends made up of both young and mature believes. These small home fellowships provide an opportunity for individuals to grow in their personal knowledge of the Lord and His kingdom while developing quality Christian friendships.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go and make disciples of all the nations,  baptizing (immersing) them into the name (or nature) of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.

 Ephesians 4:11-13

He (Jesus) is the one who gave men as gifts to the church: as apostles, as prophets, as evangelists, and as pastors and teachers.  Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ, until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son  that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.

What does a Life Group Meeting look like?

Life Groups do not have one consistent theme.

We have found that Jesus has different agendas for the many different seasons of our lives.  We also find that each home fellowship often takes on a different expression depending on its individual leaders as well as the fellowship itself.

  • Sometimes we have fellowships, cookouts, and fun to deepen our friendships with one another
  • Sometimes we have incredible discussions around the Word of God (The Bible) and grow in understanding

  • Sometimes we simply worship in the presence of His majesty with songs and prayers of adoration
  • Sometimes we may pray for individuals who have specific needs to support those among us

  • Sometimes we find ourselves undone in our hearts as Jesus reveals to us who we really are without Him and who He is calling us to become through the redeeming power of the cross
  • Acts 2:42-47

They (the believers) were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.  And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.  Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple (The Church), and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart
